Jewellery Workshops in Pocklington - Pre Class Info
Thank you for booking on to one of my jewellery making classes. Below is some important information ahead of your class, if you have any questions that I haven't covered in here, do reach out via email and I'll get back to you as soon as I can - torifosterjewellery@hotmail.com
Arrival & Location Details
Studio Address
My classes are held in the jewellery studio which is above my shop.
The address in 7 the Pavement, Pocklington, East Yorkshire, YO42 2AU.
Parking Info
There is plenty of parking available around the shop. The official car parks in Pocklington are located – West Green, West Green Field, Station Front and Station Rear. These are free and unrestricted on Sundays (except West Green which is limited to 4 hours).
These are all a few minutes walk to the shop. There are also some spaces on Pavement outside of Stuarts of Driffield Fish and Chips and some on George Street outside of Mark Lee Hairdressing. Again, these are free and unrestricted on Sundays. If your class is during the week, Station Rear or street parking further up George Street would be the best options.
Public Transport Options
There are regular buses coming to Pocklington from Hull and York. The bus station is about a 5 minute walk.
When Should I Arrive?
5-10 mins ahead of the class start time. The shop door may be locked (and it might look a little dark if I'm working upstairs!) but just give me a knock and I can let you in. If you are really early, why not grab a quick coffee from the Hide around the corner on Market Street?
What to Bring
Do I need to bring anything with me?
You might have been emailed a ticket - you don't need to print that out, so long as you know the name of who booked the class!
All tools and materials are provided for the class. You might like to bring a notepad if you are a notetaker.
If you need glasses for close up work - PLEASE BRING THEM! Jewellery is quite small!
If you'd like to wear an apron then do bring one along, we won't be doing anything particularly dirty but it might get a little dusty.
Make sure you are wearing comfortable clothing and closed shoes. The studio is in an old building and is warm in summer and cold in winter so do dress accordingly!
Refreshments
There will be plenty of biscuits on offer plus tea, coffee, herbal teas and squash. You are also welcome to bring your own.

For any full day classes, there will be a lunch break. You are more than welcome to bring a packed lunch with you, I have a fridge you can keep it in. Or you can pop out for lunch, there are several cafes close buy plus a few supermarkets.
Can I see examples for what I might be able to make on a jewellery class?
Yes, check out the blog posts below
Jewellery Workshop Day - coming soon!
Payment & Extras
What is included in the ticket price?
Everything for the class! No extra payments on the day, just turn up ready to make. There is the option to browse the shop before and after the class, I have a card machine or can take cash if something catches your eye!
