My jewellery making classes are suitable for anyone over 16
Can I book a group jewellery class for a party?
A jewellery making class is a great activity for a hen do or birthday party, with everyone coming away with something beautiful! Groups of up to 6 can be booked through the dates already listed (depending on if anyone else has already booked) or you can book for a private party. I usually run classes on a Sunday and can take a group of 6 students. If a weekday works better for your group, do ask as I might be able to do that too! Take a look at the Private Group Tuition page or please get in touch here to discuss further.
Do you do private tuition?
I do! A private jewellery making class is perfect if you can’t make any of the dates, you want to learn something specific or you have a group of friends wanting to do a class together.
You can find out more about private tuition on the following pages or please get in touch here.
I've got a venue, can you come to me?
At this moment in time, I am only hosting jewellery workshops at my Pocklington studio.
About the Jewellery Class
I’ve never made jewellery before and I don’t think I’m creative – is this for me?
So long as you are willing to learn something new and get stuck in, then yes! Most of my classes are made with complete beginners in mind (the class description will say if that isn’t the case) so I don’t expect you to know anything already. We’ll take it step by step and the classes are kept small to allow plenty of time for questions and support. Not creative? I bet you are really! I’ll have samples to inspire you and templates for pendants for you to chose from, just pick your favourite.
Are materials included?
Yes, I want to make it as simple as possible so everything you need to complete the class is included in the fee.
Will we be seated or standing?
For the vast majority of the class, we'll be sat at a jewellers bench. There are some sections where standing would be preferred but can be adapted to sitting or kept to a short time period
Can I see examples for what I might be able to make on a jewellery class?
Yes, check out the blog posts below
Jewellery Workshop Day - coming soon!
What happens if a class is cancelled?
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a class, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date of your choice. I reserve the right to cancel or amend sessions and will give as much notice as I can for any changes.
How many people are in a lesson?
I have a maximum of 6 students in my jewellery lessons.
What if I can no longer make a class?
Unfortunately, if you are unable to attend a booked workshop for any reason I am unable to offer you a refund.
What time should I arrive for my class?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start time, I'll be waiting downstairs for you!
Can I take photos of the process?
I try to remember to take photos throughout but I'll always ask the group before hand, do let me know if you'd rather not. You can take as many pictures as you like!
Do I need to bring anything?
If you need glasses, please bring them! A hair bobble for long hair.
What about refreshments?
I've got tea, coffee, herbal teas and squash plus a great selection of biscuits. You are more than welcome to bring a little snack or your own drink. For full day classes, we'll take around an hour lunch break. You can bring lunch with you and pop it in the fridge or nip out to get something. There are supermarkets within walking distance plus some lovely cafes in the town centre.
About the Studio
Is the Studio accessible?
My Pocklington Jewellery Studio is on the first floor of my shop. There are two steps up into the shop area and then a flight of stairs to access the studio. If you have any accessibility requirements or would like to discuss whether the workshop is suitable for you, please get in touch before booking. I'll always do my best to make reasonable adjustments where possible. You can email me on torifosterjewellery@hotmail.com

It's a lovely market town, with great places to eat and fun things to do in and around the town. Take a look at the blog post below for some of my favourite things to do in and around Pocklington.

There is plenty of parking available around the shop. The official car parks in Pocklington are located – West Green, West Green Field, Station Front and Station Rear. These are free and unrestricted on Sundays (except West Green which is limited to 4 hours). These are all a few minutes walk to the shop. There are also some spaces on Pavement outside of Stuarts of Driffield Fish and Chips and some on George Street outside of Mark Lee Hairdressing. Again, these are free and unrestricted on Sundays. If your class is during the week, Station Rear or street parking further up George Street would be the best options.
